How to Be Energetic For This Party Season!

Hopping from one party to another, being the perfect hostess and non-stop socializing can take a toll on your body this season. Here are five easy health tips so that you exude party power by New Years. :)

Exercise, even if you cut down the time of your workout
you have to attend a lot of parties and shake a leg or two, but those don't really count for 'workouts'.  Nor do they give you an excuse to skip your exercise routine. In fact, make sure you get some sort of exercise like a brisk walk for 20 minutes or just a couple of stretches. Exercises release happy hormones or endorphins in your body. These help you beat the post party blues and will keep you charged for the next one. Constant movement keeps your muscles nimble and helps you try out those new moves on the dance floor!

Don't stress-out about your diet

Forgive yourself and give in to a few holiday temptations. Don't be stressed or fanatic about it. It will only leave you feeling down in the dumps. If you have been regular with your regime through the year, it's time to throw that diet out of the window and indulge in goodies like some chocolate cake, rum balls and eggnog. You can always go for a short deter plan in the New Year.
Choose a few healthy meals every party
If you are indulging your sweet tooth this season, balance it out by going easy on the fried goodies and vice-versa. Choose to eat a salad sans the dressing or the brownie without an extra help of chocolate sauce. Or opt for fruit-y desserts if you have overdosed on the entrees.

Change your routine
Doing the same old crunches or squats everyday can be plain boring. Tweak your workout regime a bit. Combine jumping jacks with the butterfly stretch for fab legs; go for a walk one day and do Pilates the other. This will not just keep you motivated but also ensure all your muscles are worked on.

Get enough rest

Lastly, make sure you set aside 'rest days' too. They are just as important as your workout days. It is on the rest days that your muscles are actually worked upon. It is very important that your body doesn't feel tired or sore at the end of the party season. So, you need to get enough sleep too.
Simply follow these tips to bring on the energy this party season!
